Hey Seb, adding CMS after the fact would be easy. However, the good news is that we’ve just launched CMS so your client won't have to wait 🙂
@channel Hey Lumers, today we're launching Relume Publish MCP, which means you can now build, publish and update a complete website in Relume without ever leaving Claude or ChatGPT. One of the things you've asked for the most is to be able to use the latest version of Relume alongside the tools you're already working in, and for quite a lot of you, that means Claude and Webflow. So rather than asking you to change how you work, we wanted to bring Relume to you. That's why we built an MCP that connects Claude or ChatGPT to Relume. Part of Publish MCP is a skill that builds your Relume site in Webflow, following Client-First best practices. That means you can design in Relume, then land in Webflow with a clean, well-built project that's ready to extend. You can watch the full demo here: youtu.be/… You can try it here: relume.ai/mcp As always, a massive thank you to all of you for the support and the feedback, it genuinely shapes what we build. We'd love to see what you make with it 🩷
Sara M. More components + styles. This is just the start for us. Btw if you haven't watched my tutorial, I share some of the editing capabilities that can make a site feel less generic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpuPkBqLTWs
Vitalij K. Thanks for sharing all of that out, it's genuinely helpful to hear. The short answer on why the old library isn't sitting alongside the new one is that it was built specifically to integrate with Webflow, so quite a lot of its architecture was shaped around that, and we couldn't extend it into what we needed. Relume has always been about helping Lumers build sites faster with a component library that reduces the number of decisions you have to make and gives you a great starting point by default. To carry that into a new builder where you can publish and manage a site with components, and into a system that AI can actually work with effectively, we realistically had to rebuild the architecture from scratch. To be clear though, the old system isn't going anywhere. It stays as it is, and you'll still be able to export those components into Webflow and Figma the same way you always have. The new platform is a separate thing, built from the ground up and made to publish. What you're looking at now is very much a v1, and it's the beginning of the roadmap. We're expanding the library from here, bringing across some of the favourites from Relume 1.0, and adding functionality we couldn't do before. I can see that losing the search filters and the animated templates is a step backwards for how you were working. That's exactly the kind of thing we want to hear and improve. Ps. If you'd like a say in what we prioritise next for the publish platform's component library, we have a public voting board here
Vitalij K. thanks for the honest feedback. Super helpful. Question, were you aware that Relume 2.0 uses a different component library or were you expecting to see the same components as before in there?
@channel Hey Lumers, As 2025 comes to an end, we wanted to share a quick update on what’s next for Relume. Over the past few months, we’ve been exploring how to take Relume to the next level and it’s clear that the biggest gains won’t come from small, incremental updates, but from strengthening the foundations that everything else is built on. To do that well, we’re entering a focused build phase. For the next few months, we won’t be shipping our usual major monthly releases. Instead, our product, design, and engineering teams are going deep on foundational work. This includes a more powerful component system, a faster editing experience, and long-term groundwork for publishing directly from Relume. A few important things to be clear about:
Relume is in a strong, stable place and we’re here for the long term
We’ll continue supporting existing workflows, including Webflow and Figma
Nothing you rely on today is changing or going away
We’ll still be here, supporting you and sharing smaller improvements along the way. Much of the real work will be happening under the hood — and when it’s ready, you’ll be the first to see it. If you have any questions or concerns about how this might impact your work with Relume, please reach out to us here — we’d genuinely love to hear from you. Thanks for being part of the journey. We’re super excited about what this unlocks ⚡️ — The Relume Team
