I built a tool for client communication, briefs, tasks, and Claude MCP integration

Quick backstory: I was looking for a tool where client communication, briefs and tasks live in one place and actually talk to each other, instead of chat in one app and a board in another. Couldn’t find anything I liked, so I built my own. The main thing I wanted on top of that was an MCP, so you can hook it up to Claude and have it pick up the small tasks straight from the board without copy-pasting context around. Also fixed two things that bugged me elsewhere: you don’t pay per client, and when a project wraps up you just archive the client instead of keeping a paid seat around. Just opened it up publicly, so it’s early — if you try it and something feels off, I’d rather hear it than not. usetuff.com

Ha, you’re the one who told me to drop it in here - I was only going to DM you 😄 No big reason to care, to be fair. I’m a product designer freelancing with a few studios, built this for my own workflow because I was tired of chat in one app, tasks in another and the brief in a third. If that sounds familiar, poke around for a couple of minutes and see if it clicks. If not, no worries - carry on.

naw just wanted some background - honestly first impression of the app is it that its impressive - you can tell you built this with real intentions. Just judging by the hero/homepage

appreciate you sharing it here too. I think "personal recommendations" and "the people behind the build" will be incredibly important in the future. The "why should I care" - is a real question your prospective users will be asking.

I remember years ago it was looked down upon to be a 1 man band claiming to be a studio....today...you can't be a big studio because some clients will look at that like overhead....a 1 man band studio is most likely the assumption and I don't think being a solo builder of a SaaS app will be all that foreign either.

Yes, I agree, but we’re still in a transitional phase. People often still trust large companies, even though such companies might actually have more issues with their products

ah yeah im not talking about software companies - was just mentioning creative studios, agencies that kind of thing. Seeing/hearing of studios going smaller because the core veteran people can do more. Software companies and their reputations are definitely solid right now. Also I'd be more incline to use something my clients are already familiar with over something they aren't.

ultimately a convoluted way of saying dont be afraid to bring yourself forward - your background, credibility, who you are - even if you are a solo builder, building this tool, can help acquire new users.
